Our Ethos

What is it to
"Think quadratic."?

To "Think quadratic." is to go beyond the confines of tech manufacturers, bridge market segmentations, and achieve unparalleled productivity by balancing power, efficiency, versatility, and stability.

But what does that really mean? Let's break it down piece-by-piece and reveal our ethos.

Tech Manufacturers

We whole-heartedly believe the major tech manufacturers manipulate the market in their favor (with the help of the FCC) by:

  • Omitting features in order to create "artificial demand" for vertical segmentations — desktops, laptops, tablets, smartphones, etc.

  • Consolidating horizontal segmentations — casual users, professionals, Superusers — in order to push online, subscription-based services.

Tech Superusers

We also whole-heartedly believe today's tech Superusers have every right to create ways to overcome said manipulations by:

  • Hacking hardware components in order to obtain the missing features and effectively fill the gaps left by the vertically segmented devices provided.

  • Changing or writing new software code in order to maximize workloads and workflows and effectively break free of horizontal segment herding.

In short, we wish a true "all-in-one" existed.

Wishful Thinking

Best of All, in One

The perfect "all-in-one" would balance the following core features:

Powerful AND Portable

The perfect "all-in-one" would be powerful enough to handle the average Superuser's workload no matter where they are on earth.

Efficient AND Encompassing

The perfect "all-in'one" would be efficient enough to keep pace with the average Superuser's workflow no matter the environment.

Versatile AND Variable

The perfect "all-in-one" would be versatile enough to adapt to the average Superuser's partiular situation without going obselete.

Stable AND Sturdy

The perfect "all-in-one" would be stable enough to maximize the average Superuser's productivity for the foreseeable future.

Concept vs Execution

What does it look like to "Think quadratic."?

It's important an ethos statement describes how a set of ideals should actually be carried out, so here are some lists of what is and isn't involved when we "Think quadratic.":

Dos

  • Refuse to comply with End-User Licensing Agreements.

  • Hack hardware and software for our personal benefit.

Don'ts

  • Break the law; vocally opposing ridiculous laws is certainly acceptable.

  • Hack other peoples' private information for personal benefit.
